Vania CPDT-KA

Co-Founder, Dog Trainer & Behavior Consultant

I believe good training begins with understanding, for both dogs and the people who love them. My approach is rooted in kindness, curiosity, and helping families feel supported as they build stronger relationships with their dogs. No judgment, no expectation of perfection, just thoughtful guidance that works for both of you.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Getting to know Vania.

I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. As a child, I asked for a puppy every birthday and spent my free time walking the neighborhood dogs for ice cream money. Being around dogs was always the highlight of my day.

In 2018, my husband and I adopted Vincent, a beautiful blue-eyed rescue puppy who changed my life. Wanting to give him the best start, we worked with a positive reinforcement trainer. I became fascinated by canine body language, how dogs learn, and how much better life together can be when we understand one another. What began as a way to help Vincent soon became a new direction for my life.

Outside of training, I love spending time in nature, soaking up the sunshine, and appreciating life's little moments. I speak three languages, love learning new things, and try to approach life with the same curiosity and enthusiasm that dogs bring to each day.

EXPERIENCE & PHILOSOPHY

What I bring to training.

My journey as a professional trainer began with an internship, followed by hands-on mentorship alongside experienced trainers. I'm a CPDT-KA certified trainer, an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and a Fear Free certified trainer. I continue building my knowledge through professional courses, conferences, and ongoing education. I believe being a good trainer means never becoming complacent. There's always something new to learn.

Over the years, I've learned that helping dogs starts with understanding the people who care for them. Living with a dog can be wonderful, but it can also be overwhelming. I want my clients to feel heard, comfortable asking questions, and confident that we're working together toward their goals.

Every dog is an individual, and there's no single approach that works for everyone. I use positive reinforcement, patience, and practical guidance to help families make progress without fear, punishment, or judgment. Neither you nor your dog needs to be perfect. What matters is learning to understand each other and finding a happier way forward together.

KIND WORDS

Kind words from clients.

“Our experience with Vania was simply outstanding! We feel fortunate to have learned from her expertise. She was kind and caring and quickly gained our trust and more importantly the trust of our dog, Trace. We loved every second of the experience and would highly recommend Vania if you are searching for a partner in bringing the best out of your pup!”
